WHAT IS THIS COURSE?

LEGAL TRAINING

 

The double degree in English law - French law offers legal training in 4  years,  fully bilingual ( 3 years for promotions  starting from 2020 ). At the end of this course, students have a Master 1 in law (or a License in law for new  promotions) of the University  French affiliation,  and an LL.B English and French law (British license  law) from the University of Essex.  The two  The first years of the course take place in England, at the University of Essex, then the third (and fourth for the old promotions) takes place in France (Nanterre, Toulouse or Lyon).

Thanks to this training, students acquire expertise and a dual practical knowledge of French Romano-Germanic law.  and English common law. This dual teaching offers a unique comparative perspective to  students, teaching them to identify the points of convergence and divergence between the two legal systems.

This degree offers an opportunity  exceptional for  students Having  the opportunity to experience  of student mobility from the first year of higher education, they  become  bilingual  thanks to the current practice of legal English. Coupled with the dual competence in English and French law, the students stand out  other law graduates - in their  further studies, as well as in the development of their careers  professional.

1st year

The first two years of training take place in England, at the University of Essex, where you will follow a bilingual course, with subjects of French law and English law.

2nd year

During your two years in Essex, you will have the opportunity to invest yourself with associations, societies and teams  sport.

3rd year

After two years spent at  the University of Essex, you will join the French university  who recruited you for your L3.

You have the possibility to subscribe to  a DU, to join the Higher College of Law etc.

The registration fees at the French university amount to 170 €.

The amount of CVEC  is of  91  €.

Beyond the training and courses, the double degree is also an incredible student experience , with immersion in a foreign country from the first year of study.  

Between meetings, life on campus, involvement in associations or sports clubs, volunteering, events of all kinds, outings ... students experience English student life! And that, from the first week of the year, the famous Fresher's Week, or trivialized integration week where everything is done to feel at ease and start studying at best.
