Email: lea_b64@hotmail.fr

Where did you study in France?
Toulouse

What are the full titles of your License 3 and Master 1?

Law degree - private law specialization
Master 1 Digital Law

What is the full title of your post-Double Degree training?
Master 2 Business Law, specializing in intellectual property law in double degree UT1 and Calos 3 in Madrid

Why did you choose this training?
At the end of M1 Digital Law, I wanted to specialize in Intellectual Property, a subject that has fascinated me since L3. The M2 of PI of UT1 is renowned, and offered the possibility to 3 students to go to Madrid for a semester and to follow a double diploma. I took this opportunity to complete my career already focused on  international and strengthen my Spanish.

Was the Double-Diploma useful to you in obtaining your choice? Why ?

The M2 in intellectual property is particularly selective, the double degree with  Madrid is even more so. It is certain that the fact of having obtained a double degree with  Essex played in my favor at the time of selection. Indeed, the reputation of the double degree with Essex is a guarantee of quality which appeals to recruiters and reassures them about our ability to adapt (necessary to integrate a double M2, with a return to Spain in the middle of the school year).

What are your professional projects?
In the short term, I would like to join a legal department specializing in intellectual property or an IP consulting firm, in order to gain experience. In the longer term, I would like to obtain the status of Intellectual Property Advisor (by passing the INPI competition) in order to be able to practice as such. Having a particular sensitivity for digital law (because of my M1), I also hope to have the opportunity to work at European level to promote the development of a single digital market

What advice (s) would you give to double degree students as part of their post-double degree research?
Above all, highlight your double degree as much as possible, they will open many doors for you. Apply to a maximum of M2, do not hesitate to be ambitious because you have the arguments for. Do an internship after the M1, nothing beats professional experience, for the CV but also to confirm your choices.

Graduate, and then what?

This portrait is part of the "Graduate, and then what?" Series, a project of the Association aimed at  create a “portfolio” of post-double-degree opportunities using a questionnaire circulated to the graduating class (2013-2017). Thanks to the latter, we wish to demonstrate the diversity of the double-degree opportunities in order, among other things, to promote training among high school students and employers, as well as to be able to help double-degree students in their academic choices and professionals. See our article “ Graduate, and then what? ” For the results of our survey.
